Last week (Sept.3d) I started my 55th year as a press box reporter and my 35th year behind the microphone as the :Voice of the Bears". During my time in the press box, Bearden has played 638 games and I have seen 630 of them. That means I have seen the Bears in their glory as well as the lean years when victories were scarce. I am a three sport letterman in football, basletball and track and a 1954 honor graduate of Bearden High School. I sincerely appreciate Bearden High School for allowing me the honor and priviledge of serving them in this capacity. I am very honored that in 2006 the Press Box was named after me. I thank God for blessing me with good health and my family members for their love, support and encouragment to be able to enjoy my career.
